Our Story

Transforming servants into Sons....

Sonship School of the Firstborn a school with-in the church. (Christian House of Prayer)
We offer one-year course of study concentrated solely on the discipline of ministry studies. Our focus is not accreditation, but certification of able ministers. We equip students  with sound doctrine so they can teach others what they have been taught.  We teach, train, and then entrust ministers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After the completion of the pro- gram of study a certificate will be giving in biblical stud- ies.

Doctrinal Statement

The doctrinal position of Sonship School of the Firstborn is expressed in the following statements of faith.
We believe . . .
•The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
•There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
•The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; the atoning sacri fice of His death, burial and resurrection; His future return to earth to rule over the nations.
•The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
•In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. •In water baptism by immersion.
•In the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
•The redemptive work of the cross of Christ pro vides healing, in answer to believing prayer.
•The baptism with the Holy Spirit is given to Believers who ask for it, with evidence of speaking in other tongues.
•In the resurrection of the saved and the lost: the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

Historical Context of a School in the Church

Historical Context of a School in the Church
The concept of a school in the church is clearly illustrated through- out Scripture. Among many examples is the one of the prophet Samuel. As a young child, Samuel was brought to the house of God to be trained up in the temple. Under the leadership of Eli, Samuel learned the power of God, the function of ministry, and the responsibilities of the priesthood.
Our concept of the school in the church is much the same. It began in 1989, as the School of the Prophets. The directive of the Lord
at that time was to teach and train men and women called and appointed for ministry. As the vision expanded, School of the Prophets became “Speak the Word School of Ministry.” These two schools held facets of our vision; but integrated, they comprise
the essence of a school in the church. Now at the apex, this con- cept has come full circle and is actualized in Sonship School of the Firstborn (SSOTF).
At SSOTF, training and instruction transpire in the environments of the classroom, the church, and the community. Coupled with the discipline of a self-study program, five-fold and lay ministers alike, learn the mechanics of ministry, while acquiring knowledge through life-application skills in such areas as:
• Pragmatics of church building
• Worship essentials
• Financial stewardship
• Ministerial integrity
• Prayer basics, and much more...
Our goal is the development and duplication of able ministers through participation in the “hands-on” practicum of daily minis- try, all within the setting of a school in the church.
